Is this diet suitable for vegetarian and / or vegan people?

The different diet plan templates do include animal protein resources.. If you don’t eat animal protein at all, then you might need to search for some protein alternatives. The sites below might help you with finding them:

    Hello, l am very interested in this diet. Being overweight and in my early 70’s , l don’t have a huge amount of exercise.
    Can l eat protein all day ,and carbs in the evening?. Where would butter and yogurts fit Into the diet, and is there a dry or cooked weight limit?.

    Hello – Can you advise if the 100grams of Carbs per day for the program is net carbs (carb grams less fiber grams), OR carb grams before removing fiber grams? Thanks very much.

      As far as I know the 100 grams of Carbs are including the fiber. I haven’t found anything else in the manual.

    Hi. Before I order I would like to know if this program does include preset meal plans or not? I want all the guess work taken out of the equation for me. I ordered something a few weeks ago about nutrition somewhere else and it was basically like talking a nutrition class. That is not what I’m looking for. I want to be told what to eat and when. If I buy this and select strength training template will the template give me a meal plan?

      Within this diet plan you’ll learn about the different kind of foods (proteins, carbs, fats etc). Then you get meal plans like eat 2 portions of protein, 1 portion of carb or you’ll also find plans like: lunch with 1:1 (or less) carb: protein ratio. They have many different templates for all kind of needs (exercising, not exercising etc:) and for each they also have the mentioned meal plans. Plus they also have food charts which makes it easier to understand what type of food is carb has lots of protein etc.

      You won’t find meal plans like cook 8oz chicken breast with 1 cup of broccoli (as example).

    I really need some more information about what I will be eating on this diet. I can’t seem to find this information anywhere. It says you can eat carbs everyday as long as it is the right time. It makes it sound like you can eat whatever you want during this time. Is that accurate? Then I saw something that said you get a weekly cheat meal. How does this differ from the supposed eat your yummy foods everyday, but only at a certain time. I feel the whole thing is misleading. I saw something else I was able to find online, and it was some sample menus. It looked like you were able to have some white rice with the third meal of the day IF you had exercised. It didn’t say anywhere about eating any other carbs. I just want to know what food I will be allowed to eat daily. I don’t want to order only to have to return it the same day, when I find the information on your official webpage is misleading. Please answer my questions. Thanks

      I mentioned that in my review. This is all based on your needs and your activity. Within the Half Day Diet there are many different meal plan templates for different needs and they all contain some carbs and they are all different. When you look at the Table of Contents image within my review, then you can see that there are different carb recommendations for different needs as well as sample calculations and diet templates.

      Nate does use diet templates rather than pre-set meal plans to allow for variety and flexibility of food choices. Within the templates he mentions the amount of starchy carbohydrates you can eat mostly for dinner ( starchy carbohydrates are: potatoes, legumes and beans, cereals, rice, grains, and breads). The amount of these carbs depends on your needs and activity.

      I just re-checked within the manual and the only thing I could find about gluten and gluten intolerance was, that Nate recommends to minimize the food which contains gluten for everyone, regardless of intolerance. And he recommends about the same for dairy foods. So he does take care of that throughout his diet plan.

      Since I received several messages regarding if the diet plan is suitable for a vegetarian or vegan diet, I updated my review and added a question and answer section at the bottom of the post. In short, yes the diet plan is suitable for a vegetarian diet. You only would have to replace the animal protein resources with non-animal proteins. I listed several resources above in the Q&A section.
